3rd February Workshop: Foundation arm balancing postures and transitions

I thought arm balances were advanced postures, only for certain people. Thankfully I was introduced to some great teachers with whom I could explore some of these. When I started practising arm balances correctly my yoga practice changed immensely. No longer was I scared of trying out new things on the mat or in fact real life. This meant my life became bigger and more fulfilling. At first arm balances seemed tough, but with the right guidance I was soon able to take my yoga practice to the next level. David Kyle, Danny Paradise and Jamie and Dulce from the Yoga People all inspired me to continue and support me.

In this workshop we will be exploring which postures can help to develop the technique and strength to practice arm balances. Building on the use of breath, bandhas and dristi, we will be moving through some sequences which allow the more 'advanced' postures to be accessible. I encourage you to move to the unknown and try out this workshop that will not only strengthen your yoga practice but will turn your world on its head. A regular vinyasa style yoga practice is recommended to attend this workshop.
